A group of Shaftesbury students are taking part in a young reporters scheme run by Media Quest.They are writing for an on-line online newspaper and are being treated as real journalists for the four months that they are with them.
Not only are they having their articles published, but at the end of the course, the students will receive a Letter of Recognition for taking part.
This will be a great addition to their CV or College application and really sets them up if they want to later take part in their eight month scheme as they will have an advantage over students
who have never taken part before.

On top of this, our students are also building up a portfolio of published work, which will be invaluable for future careers and they are gaining real life work experience in journalism.
