Jack Petchey Environmental Award

"Sophie from 9IB has received a Jack Petchey Environmental Award for her work on the Plastic Changemakers Project. This is the first time the Jack Petchey Environmental Award has been achieved by a student at Shaftesbury High School. Mr Ball presented Sophie with her certificate and unique wooden badge during the KS3 assembly. In addition Sophie has been awarded £300 to put towards her Plastic Changemakers Project. This money will be used to support classes to become more aware of the importance of recycling by purchasing new recycling bins for each classroom. We are very proud of Sophie becoming a Plastic Changemaker Ambassador!"
