We were delighted to welcome Bob Blackman, MP for Harrow East, when he visited us on the 20th of January 2023.

After a tour of the school led by 3 students from Key Stage 4 and 5 and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Mr Blackman visited a group of year 7 students where he took part in a lively Q & A session. He then met with 6th form students and members of the School Council, who asked him some interesting questions, such as how the political leadership can get together to help bring peace in Ukraine and about the high cost of living. Mr Blackman then took some time to  congratulate students who had recently  completed their travel training and he presented them with certificates.

 Before leaving, he was served with tea and sandwiches in line with typical Shaftesbury tradition.
