Shaftesbury High School supports 175 pupils aged 11 to 19 all with a wide range of complex special educational needs.
The school is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced applicant for the post of Travel trainer from November 2024. To provide 1:1 travel training for identified young people travelling primarily between home and school. The Travel Trainer will be required to work within the hours of 7am and 5pm, 4 days a week (days to be agreed at the time of appointment).
Applicants should be, experienced in working alongside young people with complex special educational and physical needs. Experience of working with learners of secondary age outside of school is preferable and a current, clean driving licence is essential. The role requires flexible working hours and ability to self manage. An ability to use Microsoft excel would be beneficial.
